Front-End Developer, Relocation to Poland

Our client is a US-based hedge fund, investment management division of one of the largest banks in the world. For nearly 30 years they are leaders in custom solutions with 400+ billion dollars spread across global equity, bond, and derivative markets.

We are looking for JavaScript Front-end developer who will be working in a small team of experts that will focus on enhancing UI web components.

We offer a $2,500 Relocation bonus (+500 USD for each family member) and relocation assistance to the specialist that will accept our offer and join DataArt in this position. Due to compliance and other constraints from the client whole team will be working from our office in Poland - you can choose between Lublin or Wroclaw.

Responsibilities

• Completely redesign the UI using the latest version of ExtJS 7.4
• Rewrite/port existing applications to the new UI
• Improve the documentation and education for best practices that we have learned over the years but we didn't always go back to refactor the older code: only use asynchronous APIs for server communication, only use our APIs for accessing the lower level features of the underlying UI widgets, and implement routing
• Focus on user experience. Periodically follow up with the users to learn what we can do to make UI more effective. Encourage the business to bring up ideas on how to improve the UI. Using our best practices, continue enhancing the user experience. Leverage UI experts for common features.
• Implement automated UI testing and make it a part of CI/CD

Must have

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of JavaScript.
• Experience with JavaScript libraries (Sencha Ext JS), UI Frameworks, UI Architectures: Web Components/Micro-Frontend.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL
• Desire and commitment to developing effective UIs
• Great understanding of the Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Great communication skills, spoken English

Would be a plus

• Experience in the finance industry
• Working knowledge of the FIX protocol and the Order Management System (OMS)
• Experience with Angular, React, WebComponents, Ext.Net, GXT, Sencha Touch, Sencha Test
